This week the team are at the Silverstone Trax checking out modified cars. Jason Reports.
You remember those signs in Fish and Chip shops 'You don't have to be mad to work here but it helps' well almost the same could be said of the Trax day at Silverstone 'you don't have to have a body kit to get in but it helps'. I've never seen so many modified cars in my life! Body kits were only the start of it, big wheels, chipped engines and re-trimmed interiors were common place and if you like your in car entertainment BIG then this was the place to be.

Some of the modifications were more tasteful than others but the common factor was that everyone seemed to be having a great time. When I was younger a trip to the local Halfords turned up a Haynes manual, an air freshener and a set of alloys if you were lucky but today if you want to put your personal stamp on a car then the choice of kit is limited only by your budget.

Perhaps a little ironically our buyer of the week had set his heart on something completely original that he could run for most of the ear but that still had the potential to become something of a future classic. With a budget of around £5,000 I had plenty of ideas and a few personal favourites that I wanted to tempt him with. Decide whether you would have gone for the car he did.
