A lounge has been set up for female visitors to the Frankfurt Motor Show under the banner 'Why women can't park'.
Through a joint initiative from the show itself and German magazine Brigitte, a lounge has been installed to provide a place for women to relax on couches, nibble at food and browse skincare products, as long as they can live with being seen underneath the banner.
Brigitte editor-in-chief Andreas Lebert said: "Beyond the obvious modern-day facts of life that women not only drive cars, buy and build them, women also have enormous influence over men in deciding which cars are driven, bought or even made in the first place."
The lounge will feature a number of celebrity guest speakers as well as talks delivered by the magazine's own editors and offer women the chance for a cosmetic "touch up", Reuters reports.
Iliane Weiss, head of communications at Gruner + Jahr publishing, said that men were also welcome in the lounge.
The event in Frankfurt will run until September 23rd.
